Northern California Kayaks, invite your child or yourself to join our experienced kayak camp staff for some well deserved kayak fun. Our camps focus on teaching youth’s and adult’s about kayak safety and learning how to navigate a kayak on local stretches of water within the Solano County area. Our introductory camps begin with instruction in the relaxing environment in the safety of a swimming pool then onto a local lake and once your paddling skills are good we practice on tidal waters. We introduce our youth and adults into the world of kayaking in fun and controlled environments of a lake and river. They will learn all about the basic kayaking skills through the use of interactive games and practice. They also learn a great deal about the environment that surrounds kayaking, from how rivers work to the wildlife that depends on them. The main focus is learning how to kayak while having fun and staying safe. Students will spend their mornings learning about kayaks and kayaking gear, then learn how to kayak on a lake and then they will be introduced to moving water.
